Monument

Wormy, irate queens—unused queens worn irate
by wheels castigating and ridges of unused devils.

Wormy, southern queens, gallows queens—wheeling
and audibly irate—pause prior to lashing out at twenty

unused, wormy devils—yes, wheeling, worn queens.
Spaulding fetches a wormy apple from the orchard:

the queens are unused to such tomfoolery and display
irate concern: Spaulding insists on monument to

the southern ridges. The queens protest and send
devils tethered to unused wheels toward worn gallows.

A boreal wind blows. Spaulding ponders to relent
as irate queens approach his orchard monument.
